SEALED
DIAPHRAGM GAUGES
Diaphragm seal is a protection
device used to prevent corrosion, clogging or freezing of bourdon tube of
pressure instruments used in difficult fluids. The seal consists a thin
corrugated diaphragm that separates the pressure instrument from the
process fluid. The space above the diaphragm and to the pressure element
is filled with SEAL FLUID (siilicon oil) which has got alow cubical
expansion for greater temperature stability. Process pressures causes the
diaphragm to expand/contract, which further causes displacment of the
'liquid fill'. This displacement is transmitted directly to the pressure
element in the gauge. The sealed diaphragm unit can be fitted directly to
the gauge or can be connected through capillary tubing for remote
mounting. The measuring system is filled under vacuum at the factory which
ensures total removal of any air bubble which may otherwise cpntribute
towards calibration error. Available in 4", 6" Dial. Case can be Die cast
aluminum with screwed type bezel or SS 304 with bayonet type bezel. The
upper chamber of the sealed unit can be MS / SS 304 or SS 316.The
diaphragm can be SS316 / MONAL / HASTELLOY-C / TANTALUM or any special
material. Accuracy: ±1%. These Gauges are used to measure the pressure of
corrosive fluids, Petroleum products, chemicals, Syrups, Fats etc.
